Breast Wishes

This was one of my favourite cakes to make! It was SO fun! I made this delight for my wonderful husband and a friend's husband who's birthdays are days apart. We had a massive New Years Eve Party this past NYE and with some help from a lot of champagne, the cake was a real novelty! (I will spare you those photos!)

I used a 2 litre pyrex glass bowl for the cake, made from delicious chocolate fudge cake. The icing was really easy to do - just knead, colour, roll and drape. The nipples were a challenge and by using pink and brown food dyes and cocoa I finally found a colour I was happy with. I then used a wet paintbrush rolled in cocoa to brush over the finished areola.... oops, I mean area!

It was hard to get a smooth finish with the icing as it was a 42 deg cel. day and with no air con in the kitchen it wasn't something I wanted to work too hard on!
