Chocolate Revenge

I made this masterpiece for my good friend Amanda. It was her 30th birthday and I wanted to incorporate all her favourite things - (well ok, MY favourite things!) into her cake.

I knew I wanted masses of chocolate but it was Abbey who gave me the idea just to go mad with chocolate bars on the top! So, I got creative!

The cake itself is a dark chocolate mudcake. The top layer has bits of snickers bar throughout and the bottom layer had bits of mars bar throughout. In between these 2 layers was a filling of white chocolate mousse! It was divine!!

The ganache is milk chocolate and there are actually 2 layers poured over!! I topped the cake with all sorts of chocolate goodies - Flake centrepiece, freckles, toblerone, raspberry bullets, maltesers, kit-kats, and rolos. Finished off with crushed crunchie all over. I decided to lay strawberry halfs all around the base - just to add that 'healthy' element. These went down a treat as they were sitting on a bed of ganache and we all know how good strawberries dipped in chocolate are!!!



I must say I had a lot of fun making this cake - but felt extremely ill afterward! HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY AMANDA!
